Aeromodeling a hobby for kids

Aero modeling is a creative hobby where a child learns the basics of flying with an objective of designing, building and flying the models airplane, helicopter & rockets. These models can be scaled to real planes or helicopters, or are specially designed aircraft to fly and do aerobatics. AAM aims to provide an opportunity to experience the thrill of flying and turn your dreams to reality with connoisseur in flying. By constructing the models by one’s own hands, one can understand the various principle of flight and problems of construction.

Aero modelling is the one of the finest hobbies, which is very popular worldwide among people of all ages and professions. It has often been the starting point of many Pilots and Aeronautical engineers. “It is a hobby in which a cadet learns to build up the model of actual air crafts which are unable to carry persons and used for sports purposes”.

Aero modelling is a very rewarding hobby and a beginner should join a club such as Academy of Aero modelling in order to learn about the wide range of skills involved and to do this in a safe environment. The skills involved include not only flying and building the models themselves but also cover the various associated technologies including radio makes and types, construction materials ranging from wood through plastics and glass to Kevlar and carbon, different covering materials and last but not least, engines from 1 to over 100cc, glow and spark ignition, two-strokes, four-strokes plus associated fuels and fuel systems.

I can share my personal experience, while teaching aero modelling in different schools, both the students of  Middle School and High School level find it really enjoyable to their taste and apply the basics of maths & science that already covered in their syllabus. They feel that they are engineers and develop a positive mindset to focus on engineering concepts and the possibility of creative thinking. Some of them are so creative that they can easily solve a really challenging job in a moment.

So, offer a wonderful hobby to your child to see him / her happy and relaxed in life.
